The room was superb. Absolutely spotless, everything in perfect working order. Not a single sign of neglect and everything worked. I stay in a lot of hotels for work and leisure and have paid a lot more money for a lot lot less. I always assume it’s the standards and budgets of the hotel brands. I expected this experience to be bad and went I with a low expectation but from the first moment I stepped into the hotel I felt shocked. Super friendly, smiling and genuinely happy to see my reception staff. Room that was spotless and had a wonderful smart tv, coffee maker that didn’t look like it had been dragged out of a cupboard from 10 years ago. Bar staff and food. Service was excellent. I mean it punches above its weight in terms of service. I will be going back. I didn’t feel stressed, I didn’t feel angry and I don’t want a refund! I’m so happy and a big thank you!

Really lovely staff, very clean hotel and room, good sized rooms, comfy beds, lots of hangers to hang clothes, quick turnaround with requests (for items missed when packing!) and a great price, £169 for 1 night (Saturday, double room with triple occupancy) Late checkout time of 12pm! Great security guard at night who was happy to take photos of us, and knew all the right angles! Couldn't comment on the location for Portsmouth as we ubered to Southampton for an event. It was a short 25 minute drive, approx £30 (but more expensive at night). However still a cheaper option than hotels in Southampton.

The room was excellent with plenty of room for a couple and two small dogs. We were able to have our dogs with us in the bar area whilst we had a drink and whilst we were too late for a meal I have every confidence it would have been enjoyable. Breakfast the next morning was comprehensive with offers of extra types of eggs etc. Plenty of parking whilst we were there in March and lots of lawned areas for walking the dogs. The staff were helpful and pleasant and we would definitely stay again.

Arrived at 23.00 hrs, no problem for the night receptionist Chris , we checked in quickly and went to our room for a good nights sleep. The room was large and really nice, quiet and very clean. Up at 06.00, showered and down for breakfast. Wow what a wonderful breakfast it was. Not only delicious but the ingredients and everything about the food exceptionally nice. It was so good that I even mentioned how much we had enjoyed breakfast to. Jim and Janet Smith

We like everything for our 2 night stay. Plenty of parking. Ignore the signs stating 5 pounds a day parking fee. Register your car at front desk; parking free for your stay. Restaurant excellent. Vegetarian choices.
